Elbert Charlie ' E.C.' Smith of Honey Island, died on Sunday January 8, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side. He was 84.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Jordan cemetery in Honey Island.

A native and lifelong residence of Honey Island, he was retired from Santa Fe Railroad as a Tie & Timber inspector.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Ann Smith of Honey Island, daughters, Kay Smith and friend Preston of Honey Island, and Cynthia Pittman of Honey Island.

Grandchildren are Cody Smith, Doug Pittman and Ashley Pittman all of Honey Island. Great grandchildren are Cooper Smith and Halston Pittman both of Honey Island.
