Bro. Ed was a faithful member of New Rebecca Church of Moss Hill, Texas. He loved his pastor and his church. He was very tender hearted, believing in the power of prayer, as he would ask for prayer for various members of his family and friends in sickness and for salvation. When asked of assurance of his salvation, he quickly stated he knew where he would spend eternity, “With the Lord Jesus”. He will always be remembered by his brothers and sisters of New Rebecca and Pastor. Once I was told by a member of his family, 'When Ed gets home on Sundays, he preaches Bro Woody's message to us'. Bro. Woody and I will greatly miss the regular phone calls, checking on us even during his illness, leaving a message when we were not home, 'Sis. Woody, this is Ed calling'. He was more concerned over the welfare of others than himself. We will greatly miss him and his saying to Bro Woody, 'Watch it now!'. Our sincerest thoughts and prayers are with the family. With God and putting your trust in the Lord Jesus, the healing will come. Rest in Peace, Bro. Ed. Bro. Woody and Sis. Esther (Sis. Woody)
