Edna Elizabeth Price of Daisetta, 92, passed away on Friday December 28, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 8, 1926, to the late Lloyd Wells and Annie Caruthers in Batson, TX.
After her retirement as a telephone operator with South Western Bell, Edna continued to work different jobs in the community. She was a devoted mother to her children. Edna was a great cook and enjoyed baking goods that the children sold throughout the neighborhood. Edna loved word puzzles, to sing and write poetry. She was the family 'Champion', Scrabble player. Edna was a faithful servant and life long member of Life Point Church, in Daisetta. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Carol Price; brother, Edgar Lee Wells and sister, Willie Mae Rawlinson.
Those left to cherish her memory are son, Ronald E 'Ronnie' Price and wife Charlotte R of Daisetta; daughters, Mary Ester Downing of League City, TX. and Virginia L 'Ginger' Stewart and husband Rod of Austin TX. grandchildren, David Taylor, Robert Stokes, Erin Shanks, Stephanie Savage, Carl Price, Keith Price, Ethan Price, Lee Downing, Kim Mimier, Ben Downing, Cherie Thompson, Shauna Lawhon, Gypsy Rene Dodd, Chad Stokes and Justin Stewart. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
A service of remembrance will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Life Point United Pentecostal Church 505 Utah, Daisetta TX. with Reverend Lonnie Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery, of Batson, TX. A gathering of Edna's family and friends will be Friday, January 4, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Life Point United Pentecostal Church of Daisetta.
Honoring Edna as pallbearers are Ethan Price, Keith Price, Chad Stokes, Lee Downing, Ben Downing and Jakie Rawlinson.
Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Gatti and Rod Stewart.
