Dorothy Marie Moye

1930 ∼ 2015

of Houston, formerly a longtime resident of Thicket, died Wednesday September 16, 2015 at Westbury Place in Houston. She was 85.

A service of remembrance will be held on Monday September 21, 2015 at 2:00P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Mike Loftin and Reverend Wade McKinney officiating.

Interment will be held at Felps cemetery in Thicket.

The family will be receiving friends on Sunday September 20, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Chapel.

A native of Baytown, she had lived in Thicket, for most of her life and was an homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband P.J. Moye parents, Thomas Bernard Jackson and Nettie Rountree Jackson. Son, Mike Moye, sister, Vivian Carouthers, and brothers, Harvey Joe Jackson and Archie Ray Jackson.

She is survived by her daughter, Joellen Howell of Houston, and granddaughter, Virginia Trask and husband Loren Gilley of Houston.

Other survivors are niece, Becky Shroff and husband Scott of Thicket, nephews John Wiemers and wife Kelly of Thicket, Jimmy Ray Carouthers and wife Flo of Votaw, Johnny Ray Jackson and wife Kristin of Italy, and many other nieces, nephews, and a host of loving and caring friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Loren Gilley, Michael Shroff, Christopher Shroff, Scott Shroff, Jimmy Ray Carouthers, John Wiemers and Rod Osley. Honorary pallbearer is Richard Trask.

Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her very much..
