We shared many happy family times growing up in East Texas. We called her 'Robin' back in the day and I thought it was the most beautiful name I knew. Our parents were from a large family of 10 children so we had many aunties, uncles, and cousins. Robin was sweet, gentle, and we enjoyed many happy times on Sundays for dinner at our grandmother's house. There were so many of us that we had to eat in shifts, men ate first, the kids ate last, I always wanted to sit by Robin. Donna loved her family and stayed close to them. I felt her love too even though as adults we lived miles apart. But I never felt away from her and we picked up right where we left off each time we were together. There was a special connection between us. But I believe she had a special connection with all her family and friends. That was just one of her many gifts, she was connected and she listened and she cared. I believe Donna made the world a better place for having lived for 65 years. I am honored to have her in my life. I will miss her deeply for the rest of my days. Rest in peace, Dearest Donna, my beautiful robin...*'a garden forever in bloom, an angel forever in flight.' Love, Marilyn, your faithful cousin. *Khalil Gibran,The Profit
