Devin Quinn Fontenot, 27, born on May 30, 1997, in Baytown, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Jamestown, North Dakota. Devin is remembered for his hard work, respectfulness, and generosity, traits that truly defined his character.

A graduate from Hull Daisetta, Devin ventured into various fields throughout his career, including oil rigs, frac, logging, and most recently, welding, where he made significant contributions over the past two years. His dedication in the workplace was a testament to his strong work ethic, earning him the respect of his peers and supervisors alike.

Devin's passions extended beyond his professional life. He had a profound love for animals, especially dogs. He also enjoyed nature, often engaging in activities such as hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Woodworking was another one of his cherished hobbies, reflecting his creative spirit. Devin held family close to his heart, particularly enjoying moments with Big Bubba, Little Bubba, and Jennifer. He also found joy in playing Call of Duty with his brother PJ, underlining the importance of camaraderie and connection in his life.

Devin is survived by his parents, Lloyd Patrick Fontenot and Michele Renee Duff Fontenot; his children, Ray Douglas Fontenot and Raylynn Michele Flores; his brother, PJ Fontenot; half-brothers, Bobby Quinn Burks Jr., Phillip Eugene Burks, Shamar S. Burks, Liam Quinn Burks; grandmothers, Mamaw Jan Bird and Mamaw Lou Fontenot; other family member, Bobby Quinn Burks Sr. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pawpaw Ray Duff, Mamaw Ruth Ann Duff, Pawpaw Lloyd Fontenot Sr., and Pawpaw K Kenneth Bird, his great-grandparents, Sissie Deckert, Jesse Deckert, Archie Duff, Colleen Duff, Amy Fontenot, and Austin Fontenot; along with his aunt Debbie Kornegay.

Serving the family as honorary pallbearers are Randy Tanner, William "Lil Bubba" Vacha, and Michael Ray Vacha.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm with a Memorial service on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00pm officiated by Pastor Taylor Choate. 

Devin Quinn Fontenot leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering spirit that will be etched into the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His departure is a profound loss for family and friends alike, and he will be deeply missed.

He was an amazing worker and friend, I will never forget how respectful he was and thankful for his friends, he appreciated all of the simple things and had a good heart. I will miss him for sure but I am also thankful to have the opportunity to get to know him. I only knew him for a few months but very much enjoyed his company.
