Dennis Ray Tanton, 64, of Votaw died Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Christus St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

Dennis was born August 6, 1953, in Kountze, to Walter Lloyd Tanton and Mildred Mahon. He had lived in Votaw most of his life and was a Logger.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents. A brother Lloyd Avon and sister Barbara Ann Robinson.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Kathy Tanton of Votaw, son Dennis Ray Tanton Jr. of Houston. Daughters Judith Lynn Tanton of Silsbee, Casey Renee Thornton of Votaw, and Denise Renee Tanton and partner William Robbins of Batson. Brothers Chester Tanton of Hoop & Holler, David Tanton of Hoop & Holler, Robert Tanton of Votaw, and Billy Tanton of Shepherd. Sisters Carol Guines of Cleveland, and Minnie Hoke of Votaw.

Grandchildren are Treavor Thornton, Andrea Thornton, and William Gunner Robbins and great-grandchild Kalem Wade Thornton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel.

There will be a memorial gathering of family and friends also on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
