Delbert Ernest O'Neal of Rye died on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in Batson. He was 55.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc with Reverend Frank Aragon officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston.

Serving as pallbearers are Alan Hale, Chris Dorris, Stephen O'Neal, John Hendrix, Leslie O'Neal, Delbert Manning, Douglas Bowden, and Bryan O'Neal.

Honorary pallbearers are Issac Lopez, Chris Carouthers, and Roy Spinks.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, December 15, 2017, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Faith & Family.

A native of Houston he had lived most of his life in Rye before moving to Batson. He was a foreman for Jordan Oilfield Services of Batson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Ernest O'Neal SR., and brother, Leslie O'Neal Sr. He is survived by his mother, Faye Hammock O'Neal of Rye fiance' Wendy Carouthers of Batson. Daughter Amanda Hale and husband Jason of Cleveland, Patricia O'Neal of Rye, step-daughter, Courtney Carouthers of Kountze, and stepson, Christopher Carouthers of Batson. Sisters Debra Dorris of Rye, Shirley Spinks and husband Roy of Joaquin, TX and Florence Lopez and husband Charles of Hankamer.

Grandchildren are Sierra Ruiz, Jason Alan Hale Jr. Alyssa Hale, Zachary O'Neal, Isabella O'Neal-Gilliam, Landon Carouthers, Presley Carouthers, Railyn Brown, and Noa Parrish.
