David Burle Hodges, 62, of Mauriceville, passed away Saturday May 17, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed many crawfish boils and playing with his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Alisa Hodges and parents, Floyd and Joyce Hodges.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Linda Hodges of Mauriceville; step-children, Homer Collins and wife Amanda of Mauriceville, Greg Collins and wife Karren of Meeker, Deanna Lopez of Kirbyville, Sheree Prichard and husband Jamie of China; brother, Paul Hodges of Vidor; sister, Charlotte Skelton and husband Butch of Pasadena, eight grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
His family will receive friends at the United Pentecostal Church of Gist Monday May 19, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service of remembrance is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday May 20 at the United Pentecostal Church of Gist, officiated by Reverend Burt Arnold. Interment will follow at the Cemetery in Mauriceville.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Collins, Homer Collins, Greg Collins, Jr., Michael Collins, Jacob Collins and Brandon Prichard.
