Daryl Glen Freeman, 74, of Devers, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026. He was born on March 8, 1952, in Beaumont, Texas.

Daryl was a devoted family man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved hunting and fishing and especially looked forward to spending time at the deer lease, where he could enjoy the outdoors and do what he loved. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with family and friends. Some of his favorite times were spent at family gatherings, sharing good food, laughter, and making memories with the people he loved.

Daryl will be deeply missed by his brother, Kevin Freeman; his sisters, Barbara Carter and her husband, David, and Joy Rayon and her husband, William; and his caregiver, Stacie Miller and her husband, Todd; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends he loved as his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Theodore Freeman and Betty Watson; his brothers, Max Freeman, Alan Freeman, Preston Freeman, and Eric Freeman.

A memorial service celebrating Daryl’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 106 Avenue A, Devers, Texas 77538.

Daryl will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his enjoyment of time spent with family and friends, his larger than life laugh, and the memories he made with those who knew and loved him.
