Bruce Wayne Clements

Bruce Wayne Clements, 77, passed away at home peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in Hardin, Texas. He was born on December 18, 1946, in Houston Texas to the late Homer Eugene Clements and Doris Ethel Greeson.

Bruce served his country with honor in the Airforce from February 15, 1967, to February 12, 1971. During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Small Expert Marksmanship Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Airforce Conduct Medal.

Bruce dedicated 30 years of his career to LyondellBasell where he retired in 2002.

Bruce was known for being a family man, a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bruce was a man of few words, with a kind heart and was a gentle giant. His actions spoke volumes where words fell short. Outside of work and military service, Bruce found solace in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in the great outdoors, but above all cherished spending time with his loved ones. His grandboys held a special place in his heart, and he adored his loyal companion Callie, his beloved dog.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Eugene Clements, and Doris Ethel Greeson; brother, Ricky Eugene Clements.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Glenda Clements; daughters, Stephanie Johnson and husband Chris of Hardin, Texas, and Stacey Meredith and husband Chris of Monarch Beach, California; his grandchildren, Austin Miller, Dylan Johnson, Alivia Johnson and Bruce Johnson; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. A very special thank you to the ladies at Harbor Hospice for their loving care.

Cremation Services are under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services, Batson, Texas. The family will have a private gathering at a later date to celebrate Bruce’s life.
