68 of Saratoga, Texas, died on Tuesday September 9, 2014 at her daughters residence in Saratoga. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday September 12, 2014 at 2:00P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend James Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at the John Clark Votaw Memorial Cemetery in Saratoga. The family will be receiving friends also on Friday September 12, 2014 from 10:00A.M. until time of service at Faith & Family. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, she had lived in Saratoga, and was an homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband John Clark Votaw, three brothers and one sister. Survivors are her son; Ronnie Richardson and wife Brenda of Hammond, Indiana. Daughters; Kristy Ryan and husband Robert of Saratoga, and Tammy Reed and husband Gary of Birmingham, Alabama. Brothers; Jim Hurley of Birmingham, Alabama, and Jerry Hurley of Alabama, and sister; Sandra Manning of Section, Alabama. Grandchildren are Robert Ryan II, Brandy Crane, Cody Reed, Casey Reed, Shaina Richardson, and Brett Richardson. Great grandchildren are Austin Simmons, Alex Bice, Aidan Bice, Colby Crane, Colten Crane, Caleb Reed, Logan Reed, Lacy Reed, and Amaya Richardson. Serving as pallbearers are Reverend James Simmons, Mark Simmons, Chris Simmons, Jay Jacobsen, Greg Votaw, and Phillip Thibodeaux.

I remember Aunt Brenda couldn't draw worth a hoot.. we'd play pictionary during the holidays and she'd get so mad because we couldn't guess what the heck she was trying to draw.. she was so much fun!! I love you Aunt Brenda and you'll be thought of often..smack!

I love you Aunt Brenda and I already missed you and wished I had the chance to have came and seen you but I never had the most effective nor the time to travel and now you have been called to heaven to be with the rest of the family who are now out angels.
