of Liberty, died on Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Magnolia Place Health Care. he was 66.

A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday May 5, 2016 at 2:00P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Donald Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin.

Serving as pallbearers are Donnie Perry, Donovan Tanton, Teddy Tanton, Matthew Tanton, Jacob Tanton, and Gene Cotten. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Tanton, Bill Tanton and Ryan Tanton.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday May 4, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Faith & Family.

A native and lifelong resident of Liberty, Bobbie had worked as a Oilfield Worker for Deep South Drilling.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary ' Curly' Tanton, parents, Henry and Gladys Tanton. Brothers, Jesse Tanton, Frank ' Cooter' Tanton and Henry Don Tanton.

Survivors are sons, Teddy Tanton and wife Lisa of Liberty, and Steven Tanton of Conroe. Brother, Bill Tanton of Hardin. Sisters are Betty Cotten of Batson, Velea Whitmire of Batson, Becky Laird and husband Robert of Hankamer, and Lillian Marcontell of Dayton.

Grandchildren are Donovan Tanton, Jacob Tanton and Matthew Tanton. Great Grandchildren are Adelynne Tanton and Ryan Tanton and numerous nieces and nephews.
