Blanca Estrella Cuevas, 90, a long time resident of Lakewood, New Jersey went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 24, 2022 with her loving daughters beside her in Beaumont, Texas. Mami was born on September 5, 1932 to the late Salvador Cuevas and Juana Nieves Melendez in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was a retired housekeeper for Community Hospital in Toms River, New Jersey. Mami was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her Heavenly Father and showed it by caring and feeding family and friends. Mami loved music and loved to sing.

Mami is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara Santiago; brother Israel Cuevas; sisters, Providencia DeClete, and Iraida Rondon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sandra Suson and husband Ashley, Lillian Holst and husband John, Lorriane Dotoli and husband Michael; son, Hector Marchado; grandchildren, Ernesto, Anthony, Robert, Nicholas, Rick, Pedro, Tiffany, Liza, Lanette; great grandchildren, Brandon, Christina, Tyson, Maverick, Mila, Rocco, Leah, Julian , Isaiah, Caleb, Autumn, Anastasia, Miranda, Marelena, A.J., Gary and Benjamin. We would like to extend our appreciation to her caregiver Zandra Villanueva for the love and care she provided to our mother and her nurse Nicole Bellanger with Amedysis Hospice.  The family is forever grateful for Amedysis Hospice for the loving care they showed our family.  Cremation under the direction of Faith & Family Funeral Home.

It can't go unsaid how much Mami Loved her Sweetheart Shakela. She showed so much Love to my Mami & Care. Mami missed her when she wouldn't come because she was off. Thank for caring so gently for my Mami. For that we are forever Greatful. Beautiful MEMORIES they both made.

Mami Physical Therapist Rodney & how she loved him. Then she met his wife Nicole & loved her too. Rodney was so good with Mami during her Therapy she always looked forward to his Visits. Thank you Rodney for helping her when she first moved to Texas.

Rick, Tiffani, Tyson, & Maverick Mami loved her Grandson he'd come straight to her room & say Bendicion Abuela & kiss her. Mami loved Tiffani from day one & her Greatgrandson's OMG she Adored them. They both had such awesome personalities with Nana. Beautiful MEMORIES

I have to Post this is this Book. On 9/24/22 when my Mami gained her Wings My husband & Mami's Sin In Law wrote this & it touched my Hearr. He was my SUPPORT for 2yrs & 2wks. He Flew to Lakewood NJ to bring my Mami Home with me. I couldn't have given my Mami the BEST 2YRS & 2WKS of her LIFE without my husband Lee. My mother loved you so much & every night I sat in her bedroom with her till it was her bedtime she Praised her Son In Law & always said..she could go in PEACE knowing I had such an Amazing Husband Father Lolo. Mami Lee loved you. What an Honor to have a SPECIAL HUSBAND who Brought my Mami home.

Ms. Cuevas, My Sweet sweet sweet soul♥️ Every time, I would visit you and when we would make eye contact as I walked in your room, immediately there was a huge smile on your face and oh boy did that make me feel so good❣️During our visit, we would laugh a.k.a. cut up talk about every everything including men…. ha ha ha ha but oh how grateful I am to God to have been able to cherish every visit we had together. You were such a gentle kind loving soul who reminded me of my own grandmother who has such characteristics of yourself♥️♥️♥️♥️ At the end of each visit, you would kiss my hand and tell me to be careful going home. I do know Heaven has gained another joyous angel and how grateful to God of how you shared your love, wisdom and joy on this place that we call Earth. Glory Be Unto God

Mrs Cuevas was the sweetest soul and such a joy to be around. I loved my time as her nurse and enjoyed my time with her at every visit. She is so very loved by so many. My prayers are with her friends and family as you go through such a loss. I will miss her greatly but find so much peace in knowing she is healed and in the presence of Jesus.

Sweet Mrs. Cuevas you will be missed dearly. You were so sweet, caring, genuine, and funny. You truly had a heart of gold. You started as a patient for me but quickly stole my heart. I was there to take care of you, but you always worried about me. I miss our weekly visits, talks, and watching your soap opera with you. It was in Spanish and I didn’t understand a word of it, but the joy you got from your show made my heart smile. I hope you are in Heaven showing them all what a genuine Angel you truly are.
