86 of Livingston,Texas died on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at Hospice In The Pines of Lufkin.

Billy was born July 5, 1930 in Saratoga, to Richard C. Walston and Marguerite C. Patton. He had lived in Livingston for 24 years and was retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Local Union 450 of Mt. Belvieu. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict.

He was a Mason and Shriner and a member of the Masonic Lodge# 14 in Livingston. He also was a minister and had pastored for 24 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Billy Wayne Walston Jr. and brother Harry Lee Walston. Survivors are his wife of 66 years Billie Virginia Walston of Livingston; sons Mitchell Walston and wife Emily of Kountze; Richard Walston and wife Barbara of Centerville; and John Walston of Livingston, and sister, Elma Hagermeir of Lake Jackson.

Grandchildren are Daniel, Michael, Brandy, Shawnah, Sasha, Katherine, Alex, and Candy. Great Grandchildren are Hunter, Xula, Dalton, Ty, Phoenix, and Lyndi.

A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday July 24, 2016 at 2:00P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Jeff Blizzard officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday July 23, 2016 from 5:00P.M until 800P.M. at Faith & Family.

Serving as pallbearers are Mitchell Walston, Richard Walston, John Walston, Daniel Walston, Michael Walston, and Hunter Walston. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Harrison and Matthew Granger.

Mr.walston was always there to share is knowledge and advise and a good cup of coffee to us young men trying to grow up.i was good friends with john and bill jr for meany years so i visited often,what a good man he was,he influenced me greatly. he is home now. Garyl block11
