Billy Fowler Sr., 80, of Kountze, died Sunday August 11, 2013 at his home. He was a native of Carthage, he lived in Kountze and was a retired sheet metal worker. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Parker Fowler. He is survived by his sister, Audie L. Anderson and husband Peewee of Kountze; children, Billy Fowler Jr. of Houston, Patricia A. Fowler of Kountze, James E. Fowler of Houston, Richard E. Fowler of Kountze and Oscar W. Fowler of Beaumont; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. His family will receive friends Tuesday August 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Faith and Family Funeral Services Chapel. A service of remembrance is scheduled for Thursday 3:00 p.m. at Faith and Family Funeral Services Chapel, officiated by Reverend A. A. Calloway and Reverend Ernest Brown. Interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Fowler, Rodney Anderson, Terry Anderson, John Hayes, Randy Stuts and Don Moye.

I remember Billy from the early days when his family lived near us at Gary, Texas. Billy, my brother Andy, and I played hooky 3 days from school one time. We were togather a lot like brothers. We'll sure miss Billly. GOd Bless the family
