Billie Joyce Freeman of Kountze died on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care Center with her family by her side. She was 82.

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 12:00 P.M. at Happy Valley Baptist Church in Kountze with Pastor Robert Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Holland Cemetery in Kountze. Serving as pallbearers are Rodney Weyler Jr. Bryan Weyler, David Deaton, Wesley Majalca, John Warren Bagwell, and Dawson Weyler.

The family will be receiving friends also on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. A native of Newton she had lived in Kountze most of her life and was a self-employed Insurance Agent. She was also a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry A. Freeman, brother Wilburn Hall and her parents, Destell Hall and Ollie Marie Burks. Survivors are her sons, James ' Bo' Freeman and wife Judy of Kountze; Jerry L.' Bug' Freeman and wife Delores of Kountze. Daughter, Shirley Weyler and husband Rodney of Kountze. Brothers, John Hall and wife Dee of Silsbee, Precinct #3 Justice of the Peace T.J. Hall and wife Linda of Kountze, David Hall and wife Kim of Kountze. Sister, Bobbie Hebert and husband Herb of Kountze, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
