I have been thinking all morning trying to put into words just how special Betty was. Words just seem so inadequate. But here goes, when I think of what joy looks like, I think of Betty. Her smile could change your day for the better in a moment. Her laughter was contagious. Her sense of adventure was encouraging. I was 7 years old when we moved to Agua Dulce but meeting the Watkins family instantly turned a scary move for me into a fun adventure. All of the many activities such as the bike rides, the outdoor camping, Cold Springs trips, the popcorn, and so so many other moments were special. She will live on in my memories.

These few words written will never describe the unconditional love she had for everyone that had the honor to know her. Not many people can say they have never had a grudge against someone. She loved everyone as we all should and made sure it was always spoken in the utmost importance of every conversation. Betty Lou will always be in our heart’s and always on our minds. My deepest and most sincere condolences for all her family and her multitude of friends that have had the honor of knowing such a beautiful soul. I will always love you!!
