Anna Lois Isaacs

Anna Lois Mayes Isaacs passed peacefully with family by her side at home on September 17, 2021. Anna was born in Orange Texas to Dan W. Mayes SR. and Ida E. Mayes

As a child Anna was raised in Mission, Tx and graduated from Kingsville High School in 1967. In 1968 Anna and family moved to Liberty, Tx where she began her own family and resided in Liberty until 1994.

January 19, 1994, Anna married her soul mate and love of her life James M Isaacs and they made Huffman their home and has lived in Huffman ever since.

Anna loved serving the community as she started her career at the Liberty County extension office then became an amazing dispatcher for Liberty PD, Dayton PD and Humble PD. Anna retired from Miller Transport after being the Terminal Office Clerk for 13 years.

At a very young age, Anna began to attend church through the invitation of a neighbor. Following her salvation and Baptism in the Holy Spirit she became faithful to God and His church. Wherever she went she quickly searched out the local Assemblies of God church, became part of the congregation and became a very active member. Much of her work was behind the scenes as she was always willing to see the need and to fill it. She worked as a Children's church director, Sunday School superintendent, church secretary and whatever else needed to be done. Faithful, loving, caring, and serving are words that best describe her active work in God's Kingdom. Now she gets to hear her Savior say, " Well done thou good and faithful servant".

Anna's hobbies were baking and decorating. She absolutely loved making wedding cakes and cupcakes and truly enjoyed baking with her granddaughter Stacie. Anna loved to volunteer for her church events and loved volunteering at the Huffman Mays Community Center for over 10 years and enjoyed taking her granddaughter Stacie to volunteer with her for luncheons and to play darts at the Mays community Center. Anna spent her relaxing time crafting, watching her birds outside her huge window, reading the Bible and numerous other books.

Little Sis you will be so missed. When I heard of your passing I looked at my wedding album to see you - my maid of honor. We were like sisters for so many years and I couldn’t have survived my childhood without you! I know you are with Jesus in heaven and I’ll see you again. Rest In Peace Little Sis. I love you! Anna "Sis" and the Mayes family were one if the first families we met when we moved to Liberty in 1978. We became part of their family and still are. She and I had a connection and use to laugh at each other. I would get a haircut and next time I saw her she had done the same thing. It was just a "tie" we had. She had a beautiful smile, she loved her family, she love her Father God and trusted him in everything and she was just beautiful inside and out. Sis I am going to miss you. Look for me for I WILL BE THERE!!!! WE LOVE YOU George, Cheri and the Badgett Family
