Many fond memories of times spent together. We know our loss is Heaven's gain. Allie Ray walked a straight and narrow walk with his maker to be sure his home was awaiting on the other side. We love all of you and will keep you in our prayers as you make this transition since his departure to a better home.

If there's anybody that has a guaranteed pass into the gates of Heaven, Bro Dougharty had it in his posession.

Sis. Dougharty and family, It's 1/04/2013 and while looking online to find out where Bro. and Sis. Dougharty were living now, I found his obituary instead. I must say that I'm so saddened, yet happy at the same time, because I know that Bro. Dougharty's fight here is over and that he's now with Jesus; and really, there's no better place to be. Bro. Dougharty would want us to be celebrating that he's finally home, where he's longed to be for many years.... My heart goes out to Sis. Dougharty and family,...I will keep you in my prayers. Know that you've been in my thoughts and in my heart for many years, and I've missed you. Bro. Dougharty was the most amazing man that I've ever known. Being new to the church back in 1989-1990, he was never too busy to answer questions, to counsel, to encourage and comfort. I didn't understand it at the time, but the love that I felt around Bro. Dougharty was so strong and so pure; only years later did I begin to understand that it was the love of the Lord that I felt and was drawn to; and the same went for Sis. Dougharty. I can truly say that because of Bro. Dougharty and the devoted and gentle sherperd he was to his 'flock', I came to know the Lord in the most wonderful way possible and will forever be in his debt. I've so many wonderful memories of Bro. Dougharty and the Mauriceville Church. I was blessed to have known this wonderful man, and he will be truly missed!!!
