Mr. Shaw was always the same when I walked in church or I saw him at the store, wherever. He had a contagious smile and always made me feel loved and appreciated. He was a kind and gentle soul, with just enough sass to make him fun to be around. We loved him and know that we’ll see him again someday and there will be no more goodbyes or tears.

Please accept our sympathies for your loss. I knew Alf way back when I was a child. I grew up with Wendy since age 5. Alf always welcome me to his family home and church. I will be praying for you all including Dorothy. Lots of Hugs

We first met Alf and Dorothy Shaw in 1996. We loved them the moment we met because they are easy folks to love. Our daughter Amy met David Shaw many years earlier through a cousin of ours, but there was no contact until 8-4-1995 when Amy was in our cousins wedding. In late 1996. David & Amy began to talk by phone & then there was his visit to SC about once a month. They became engaged and were married 11-1-2017 (25 years). Alf & Dorothy have always treated Amy like a daughter and she loves them dearly. Pop has already preached his funeral. He lived it daily and was example of what a Christian looks like. He & Mom loved doing for others. Pop will be greatly missed and our prayers will be with the family during this difficult time and in the days to come.
