To the Family of Al O'Neil, please accept my deepest Sympathies. Would like to share it memory of your Husband, Dad , Family's. 1970's 114 street Richmondhill High School's playground where Al played basketball with his friends. Al was good. The playground was where he met and shared friendships. Also during this time frame he played hardball on the high school team. If I recall correctly Al played two positions pitcher and first base. During this time Al worked a part time job at a grocery store. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the store. His last year as a Senior the graduating class had their prom at the old New York State Olympic grounds. After which he and his group of friends went to New York City by way of the limousine they all rented. During the summers Rockaway beach wasn't far, he and his friends enjoyed the sun, picking up a game or two and paddle ball. The last memory is from Al's new home Houston, Texas he had called a friend in New York to tell him (friend) that the Houston Oilers football team had open (Try Outs) that he was going out to try. I think the year was maybe 1979? 1980s? I'm not positive. In closing I hope that these memories will help all of you. In the loving memory of a Good Husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle and friend. Sincerely keeping him in thoughts and prayer. A Friend
