Shirley Rogers

Shirley Rhea (Parker) Rogers, 79, of Temple, TX, passed away on May 14, 2013 in Georgetown, TX.
Shirley was born in Liberty, TX to John Clyde Parker and Ebbie Arena (Clayton) Parker on November 13, 1933. She worked as a Registered Nurse until she retired from King's Daughters Hospital in Temple, TX in 1995.
Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita G. Rogers; her husband, Buddy L. Rogers; her brother, Elvis Parker; and her parents, John and Ebbie Parker. She is survived by her sister, Dollie Garza (married to George Garza) of Beaumont, TX; daughters Angela Rogers Crumley (married to Scott Crumley) of Austin, TX and Andrea Morales (married to Rodney Morales) of Georgetown, TX; and one grandchild, Andrew Morales of Georgetown, TX. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. A funeral service for family and friends will be held at Batson Prairie Baptist Church in Batson, TX on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with visitation preceding the service between 10:00 and 11:00. Burial will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
