Robert Glenn Zeigler

Robert Glenn Zeigler, born on January 19, 1947, in Jasper, Texas, went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas, leaving behind a legacy rich with love, laughter, and faith.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Robert served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He carried with him a profound sense of patriotism and dedication that touched everyone around him. His family remembers him as a man who lived his life with integrity, always proud of his service and proud to be an American.

Throughout his life, Robert was known for his giving spirit and his playful sense of humor. He delighted in sharing jokes that brought joy to his loved ones, and his warm heart made a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him. Robert dedicated his life to his daughter, Mirandy Harrell, and reveled in the joy his grandchildren brought him. Candace Youngblood, Zach Yarber, and Madison Harrell were the absolute light of his life, and he cherished every moment they spent together. His heart swelled with pride as he became a great-grandfather to Griffin and Caroline Youngblood, nurturing their spirits with love and laughter.

Robert was a talented carpenter, always finding fulfillment in building and completing projects. There was something particularly special about the way he approached his work—meticulously, ensuring that everything was tidy, neat, and clean. Robert was nothing short of a perfectionist; to this day, his first set of jumper cables remains in excellent condition, a testament to his unwavering commitment to keeping his belongings in order.

As a culinary aficionado, Robert brought warmth and comfort to many gatherings with his beloved biscuits and gravy. Thanksgiving and Christmas were his favorite holidays, filled with family, good food, and cherished memories. Family gatherings were never the same without his hearty meals and the joy he spread at the table.

Faith was at the core of Robert's life. A devoted man of God, he prayed daily, inspiring those around him with his deep spirituality and unwavering faith. His bond with God gave him strength and provided comfort to his family, who will carry forward the values he instilled in them.

Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Mirandy Harrell and her husband Steven; his cherished sisters, Wanda Hutchinson and Kaye Blanchard; his adoring grandchildren, Candace, Zach, and Madison; great-grandchildren, Griffin and Caroline Youngblood and McKenna Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Savant; his brothers, Terry and Bennie Zeigler; and his sister Darlene Kretchman. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and their memories will forever be a part of the fabric of his family.
