Richard Enoch Jackson

Richard Enoch Jackson, 74, of Votaw, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Beaumont Health Care Center in Beaumont. Richard was born on August 9, 1944, to Reuben Enoch Jackson and Helen Evelyn Rhodes in Votaw.



A lifelong resident of Votaw, Richard served his country as an airman in the U.S. Air Force. He was a warehouseman for Goodyear retiring in the year 2000. He enjoyed watching football, Nascar racing. Farming, gardening, and planting rose bushes were activities that brought peace to Richard. Richard was most proud of his boys and loved being paw-paw to his grandchildren. Richard will be greatly missed by all who loved him.



Richard is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl Jackson and wife Wilma and Jesse Jackson; and sister, Maxcine Smith.



Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 49 1/2 years, Genevieve L Jackson of Votaw; sons, Glenn A Jackson of Votaw, Matthew D Jackson and wife Jamie Of Votaw, and Jeffrey A Jackson and wife Donyelle of Thicket; brother, Carl Dean 'Deanie' Jackson and wife Patsy of Colmesneil; sister-in-law, Deloris A Jackson of Etoile; grandchildren, Chelsea Cheatham and husband Micah of Dayton, Hannah Jackson of Votaw, Derrick Jackson of Votaw, Peyton Jackson of Votaw and Garret Jackson of Thicket, and newly arriving great-grand-daughter, Audrey Kate Cheatham; also survived by a host dear family and friends.



A service of remembrance will be Monday, December 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith & Family Funeral Services, Inc. with Pastor Phil Love officiating, cremation to follow. A gathering of Richard's family and friends will be Monday, December 24, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until service time also at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc.



Serving as Honorary pallbearers are, Glenn A Jackson, Matthew D Jackson, Jeffrey A Jackson, Derrick A Jackson, Peyton G Jackson and Garret C Jackson.
