Eugene Ewing, 73, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on May 8, 2019, at his residence in Hardin. He entered this world on April 21, 1946, in Hull, Tx. He was born to Barney V. Ewing and Josie Deckert Ewing.

He had lived in Hardin 46 years and had worked and retired from Mobil Oil in Daisetta as an operator. He was also a member of Hardin Baptist Church. He was president for 20 years at Hardin Water Department, 4-H Leader, and Little League Baseball Coach. Eugene was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed drinking coffee on his front porch with friends and was always willing to help someone in need. " Loving PA."

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Donald Ewing. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years LaVern Ewing of Hardin; sons Richard " Richey" Eric Ewing and wife Amy of Hardin; Aaron Cade Ewing and wife Jeanne Marie of Hardin. Sisters Patsy Gimnick of Liberty; Bonnie McAnally of Beaumont.

His grandchildren whom he loved very much Eric Ewing, Devin Ewing, Colby Ewing, Dylan Ewing, Caleb Ewing.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. at Hardin United Methodist Church with Reverend Gideon Watson and Reverend Tony Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Hardin Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Mel Eardly, Wade Williamson, James Jackson, Tony Richards, Josh Patton, Mark Neal. Honorary pallbearers are Melvin Gimnick, James McAnally, Eric Ewing, Devin Ewing, Colby Ewing, Dylan Ewing, Caleb Ewing.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday May 10, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hardin United Methodist Church.
