Paul McAdams

71, of Saratoga, Texas, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. Paul was born and raised in Saratoga, with his ten brothers and sisters. He was a great athlete for the Saratoga, Gators. Paul was a track star as well as a football star. Coach couldn't wait to have Norman and Paul in the same backfield, and just knew they would be champions. Paul and Norman chose to defend their country instead and headed to the military. Paul fell in love and married his high school sweetheart Florence Brown McAdams. Together they had three wonderful boys, Gene, James, and Dave. They Journeyed the world together living in Puerto Rico, Germany, Wyoming, and San Antonio, and eventually coming back home to Saratoga. The family lost Florence in 1980 to a sudden tragic accident. Paul then met Margaret a few years later and married, and settled at the old McAdams homestead where McAdams family was raised and to this day they reside. Paul loved the Lord, his family, community and his animals. He was famous for his beautiful garden, especially his tomatoes. Between Paul and his sister Kathy they made the best picante sauce in the state. Paul had lived in Saratoga, and was a retired truck driver with Yarbrough Materials of Sour Lake. He was a 14 year U.S. Air Force veteran who proudly served his country. Paul was preceded in death by his first wife; Florence Brown McAdams, parents; George Walter McAdams and Quida McCarty, son; Gene Paul McAdams, brother; John McAdams and sister; Rosemary Storey.
