Monique Patrice Ramos White

Monique Patrice Ramos White was born on January 28, 1960 in Houston, TX to her loving father, Thomas “Sanka” Ramos and mother, Mearllay Pappillion Ramos. The majority of her education was in Crosby ISD, but she graduated from Hull-Daisetta High School in 1978.

In 1978, she married her best friend, Martin Robertson, and to this union blessed the world with their two sons, Ellis and Randy Robertson. Oh boy were they about to have their hands full!

Monique began her career in home health positions. She then moved to working at the local jail and finally working for several years impacting the young lives of many students at Dayton ISD. She retired from Dayton ISD, but found retirement boring, so she entered back into the work force by working at Dragon Enterprise in Beaumont, Texas. Also wanting to continue impacting others, continued working in home health positions. Monique also volunteered at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church as a CCE teacher, the food booths during the Easter Rodeo and the Fall Festival for many years.

Monique was a beautiful soul inside and out. From her contagious smile, to her sailor mouth, she was always ready to feed you and talk really loud! She loved good music, dancing, cruising around the world and was never afraid to take chances on anything. She loved sale tag chasing, garage sales frenzies, Sunday fun day cookouts and was always there to greet you. Our lives were enriched, our hearts full of love, our minds forever clear because she showed all of us so much love. From shining lights and cloudy days, unknown tomorrows, and all that awaits, one thing is for certain is that heaven could not delay any longer, as her forever home was ready. Reunited in the arms of Jesus, she will wait until it is our time to leave this place and greet us with open arms. This life is temporary and we will all be called home. Heaven is waiting and trust now in the Lord for heaven is our forever home.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mary Foxworth and Lana Webb for the selfless acts of kindness extended to Monique and Randy during this time. Thank you for taking time away from your families to take such good care of Monique at home where she was surrounded with love.

Monique is proceeded in death by her parents Thomas “Sanka” Ramos and Mearllay Pappillion Ramos, son Ellis Robertson and niece Kamalah Ramos Alfred. She is survived by her son Randy Robertson and girlfriend Jana, best friend and ex-husband of many years Martin Robertson, sisters Tonia Ramos and Sonja Lavine, husband Marcus, brothers Mervin Ramos and Kerry Ramos, with friend Cassandra. Precious to her heart, her grandchildren Micha Edwards, Kade Robertson, Kylie Robertson and Brode Robertson, aunts Margaret Sawyer and Kay Francis McGowan, ex-husband Robert White, several nieces, nephews, and great friends.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, 11:00 am at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church 101 Donatto Dr, Liberty, TX 77575.
