Mitchell D. Houghton

Mitchell Donall Houghton, 62, of Kountze, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019, at Kountze Nursing Center in Kountze, TX. Mitchell was born March 17, 1957, in Baytown to Jack Donall Houghton and Johnie Frances Shelton. Mitchell was a good-hearted man who became a servant to those who changed his life at Kountze Nursing Center.

Mitchell is preceded in death by his father, Jack Donall Houghton.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his loving mother, Johnie F. Houghton of Saratoga; brother, Teryl K. Houghton and wife Cheryl of Baytown; sister, Vickie Tschappatt and husband Jeff of LaPorte; 2 children; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and a host of family and friends.

A service of remembrance will be Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith & Family Funeral Services, interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery. A gathering of Mitchell's family and friends will be Thursday, October 17, 2019, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until time of service, also at Faith & Family Funeral Services.
