Mildred Budro, 72, of Batson, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Baptist Hospital, Beaumont, Texas. She was born on October 25, 1951, in Liberty, Texas to the late Billy Booth and Alma Fontenot.
Family times always held a special place in Mildred’s heart. She cherished times spent with her loved ones, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured. Mildred was a loving and caring lady with an infectious smile that could light up any room. Throughout her life, Mildred made a lasting impact on those around her, and everyone loved her. Mildred dedicated 35 years of service at West Hardin ISD as a school bus driver, maintenance director, and custodian. She found immense joy in anything her grandkids were involved in. Mildred was very easy-going and never got mad at anyone. After marrying the love of her life, Charles Budro they embarked on a journey together for 52 years. She found great humor and loved telling funny stories especially ones about her beloved husband Charles. Mildred was an avid garage sale shopper finding great treasures. Her life was dedicated to helping others and her legacy of love and kindness will forever live on.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Tyler Budro; brother, Edward “Bub” Booth; sister, Rose Fregia. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Budro of Batson, Texas; daughter, Janie Budro of Batson, Texas; step-son, Garland Maughan of Liberty, Texas; sister, Laura Nugent of Nederland, Texas; grandchildren, Trevor Budro (Courtney) of Batson, Texas, Alex Reynolds (Derek) of Orangefield, Texas; Colby Maughan (Brittany) of Devers, Texas, Kaitlyn Fisher (Hayze) of Liberty, Texas, Kaycee Maughan of Liberty, Texas, Brandon Maughan of Liberty, Texas, Lexi Maughan of Mont Belvieu, Jayden Maughan of Mont Belvieu; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Tayah Budro and 8 additional; numerous of adopted grandchildren; nieces, Mary Cantrell (William) of Hull, Texas and Lesa Morgan (Brad) of Shelbyville, Texas.
Serving the family as pallbearers are Bill Deckert, Trey Deckert, Bryce Fregia, Shawn Taylor, Cody Cantrell, and Cody Hughes. Honorary pallbearers are Brody Hughes, Chase Hughes, and Jerry Budro.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Faith and Family Funeral Services, Batson, Texas. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 2:00pm, officiated by Pastor Tolbert Hudspeth at Faith and Family Funeral Services, Batson, Texas. Interment to follow at Guedry Cemetery.
