Lowell Monroe Shaw

of Thicket, Texas, died on Tuesday February 21, 2017 at his daughter residence in Cypress, TX. He was 92.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at The Church of God in Thicket, with Reverend Mark Ainsworth and Reverend Adolph Johnson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Felps cemetery in Thicket.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday February 24, 2017 also at The Church of God in Thicket.

Serving as pallbearers are Patrick Gourley, Jeffrey Davis, James Shaw, Jacob Shaw, Garrison Shaw, and Eric Doyle. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Davis, Robert R. Davis, Arnold E. Marcontell, David Shaw, Darrell Brackin, Jimmy L. Brittain, and James Cupps.

A native and lifelong residence of Thicket, Lowell had worked as an Oilfield Consultant. He had faithfully served his country in The U.S Army during WWII. He was a true Christian man serving his Lord faithfully and was a member of The Church of God in Thicket.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Shaw who he loved and missed very much. Sisters, Martha Crocker and Lea Brittain.

Survivors are daughter, Lanelle Shaw - Young and husband Ted of Cypress, and brother, Alf Shaw and wife Dorothy of Hardin. Nieces, Lisa Doyle, Wendy Shaw, Denise Marcontell, Iris Allen, Jan Lorfing, Bobbie Lowery, and Sharon Adams. Nephews, James Shaw, David Shaw, Robert Davis, James Cupps and Terry Davis.

Grandson, Andrew Stilwell and wife Shannon of Cypress. Great grandsons Finley Stilwell, Kieran Stilwell. Great -granddaughter, Christina Cofield of Carlsbad, N.M. Great great grandchildren 4.
