Lillian Ruth Myers, 86, of Sour Lake, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Lillian worked most of her life in the food service industry, owning and running several cafés and restaurants. She became a grandmother in 1975 and has been known as Memaw ever since. She was everyone’s Memaw. She was the most giving person who would rather go without for herself, just to see the joy on someone’s face when she gave a gift. The love for her family, especially her great-grandchildren was unmatched
A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. with Reverend Joe Dougharty officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson. Serving as pallbearers are Troy Gragg, Bill Gragg, Ralph Dougharty, Jimmy Marcantel, Gary West Jr. Chace Marcantel.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Chapel. Lillian had lived in Beaumont most of her life before moving to Sour Lake and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oran Myers. Sisters, Mildred Gragg, Evelyn Dougharty, Martha Trumble.
Survivors are her daughter, Pat West and husband Gary of Batson. Grandchildren, Gary West Jr. and wife Renee of Mont-Belvieu, Kimberly Marcantel and husband Jimmy of Sour Lake; Latricia West of Sour Lake. Great Grandchildren, Chase, Ashley, Madelyn, Byron, and Landon.
