88 of Saratoga, Texas died on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at Kountze Nursing Center. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday April 12, 2014 at 10:00A.M. at West End Baptist Church of Saratoga, with Reverend Bruce Crosby and Reverend Alvin Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow at Oilfield cemetery in Saratoga. The family will be receiving friends on Friday April 11, 2014 from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. at West End Baptist Church. Mrs Wells was born October 27, 1925 in Saratoga, to Thomas Edison Hatcher and Virginia Pearl Laird and had lived in Saratoga. She was a faithful member of the West End Baptist Church and graduated from Saratoga, High School and was an homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; Thomas and Virginia Hatcher, son; Roy Gene Wells, three brothers; Jerald Hatcher, Raymond Hatcher and Leonard Hatcher. Survivors are her husband of 73 years, Leroy Wells of Saratoga, sons; Ronald Wells of Saratoga, Jerry Wells and wife Cindy of Kountze, Billy Wells and wife Mary of Kountze. Daughter-in-law; Rozelle Wells of Thicket, brothers; Billy Joe Hatcher and wife Polly of Buffalo,TX, and Wayne Hatcher of Silsbee. Sister; Myrtie Duffey and husband Johnny of Tomball. Grandchildren; 8 Great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchild; 1. Serving as pallbearers are Rusty Wells, Shawn Wells, Jesse Wells, Jadon Yarbrough, Mitchell Hatcher, and Wesley Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are Chase Wells, and Jaron Benavides.
