Lee Olyeon 'Snookie' Roth Chessher of Honey Island, Texas gained her wings on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Harbor Hospice with her loving family and friends by her side. She was 90.
A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Gary Post and J.W. Watters officiating. Interment will follow at William-Hart Cemetery in Kountze. There will be a gathering of family and friends also on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until time of service.
Serving as pallbearers are Timothy Hutson, Charles Jordan, Larry McCollough, Glenn Chessher, Rusty Gore, Ed Gilbert, Ernest Cherry, and Leslie McNeely. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Hutson, Robert Wiggins, Clayton Hutson, Evan Jordan, Kaygen Palmer, Tony Gallardoabreux, and Jacob Joyce.
Snookie has lived in Honey Island her entire life. She loved her family, friends, gardening, flowers, and her Christmas Lights. She was preceded in death by her late husbands, David H. Chessher and the father of her children, Pete Jordan, parents, Robert and Avis Roth, sister, Judy Smart, brothers, Alvin, Robert, R.L., W.J., and Jack Roth, and a son-in-law, Alfred Hutson.
Survivors are daughters, Nora Hutson of Honey Island and Donna Cassidy and husband Daren of Beaumont, son, Lee Jordan of Honey Island, stepsons, David Chessher Jr. and wife Susie of Hardin, Glenn Chessher and wife Crystal of Saratoga, and Granderson Chessher and wife Ginger of Hardin. Snookie had 19 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
The family would love to thank Charlena McNeely for staying days and long sleepless nights by her side and a special thanks to Harbor Hospice for taking care of Snookie in her last days.
