Larry Edwin James

Larry Edwin James, 79, of Thicket, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, at his residence. He was born April 25, 1940, to Loyd Avery James and Helen Irene Clothier in Lawrence, Kansas. Larry was a mechanic for most of his life. He loved working on cars. There was a period in his younger years when he ran the NASCAR circuit as a mechanic. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Veda James; son, Jim James; sister, Kay Armes

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Mike James of Thicket; daughters, Becky James and husband Glenn Holmes of Houston, Carole Huff and husband Allen of Sugarland; sister, Loy Abshire of Thicket; grandchildren, Robert L. Huff, Bryan Huff and wife Morgan, John Reyna and wife Kristen Besong of Damon, Jennifer Reyna and husband Cesar Galarza of Houston and numerous nieces, nephews family and a hosts of friends.
