Larmer Alvie Burnett of Rye, TX died Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Memorial Herman Medical Center in Houston TX. He was 88.
He was born in Talihina, Oklahoma December 15, 1929, to Lorel Burnett and Mary Lewis Burnett he had resided in Rye TX. He passed from this world Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston TX.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served aboard the U.S.S. Brenner as a Bosum Mate and was honorably discharged. He had retired from Brown & Root in 1987.
Larmer was preceded in death by his parents Lorel Burnett and Mary Lewis Burnett. Brothers George Burnett and wife Leda, Gene Burnett, Jessie Burnett and wife Joan and sister Lorelei Puckett.
Survivors include his wife Donna Stewart Burnett of Rye, TX. Daughters, Darleen Burnett Gasbarro of Taunton, MA, and Donna Francis Rhodes ' Kat' of Rye, TX. Sons Charles Alan Francis and wife Teresa of Due West, SC Russell Franklin Francis and wife Paula of Rye TX, James Stuart Francis and wife Kathy of Wimberly TX, Thomas Scott Francis and wife Cathy of Austin TX, John Larmer Burnett of Rye, TX and Jeffery Stephen Burnett of Rye TX. Sisters, Mary Burnett Calhoun of Elgin TX, Rowena Burnett Puckett of Manor TX along with 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and loving friends. He loved fishing, beekeeping, picking up aluminum cans for the grandkids savings account. Also love picking pecans crocheting blankets, throws, pot holders, baby blankets, and his tall tales...
He was very much loved and remembered by his church family of Moss Hill Pentecostal Church. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018, at 12:00 P.M. at Moss Hill Pentecostal Church with Reverend Michael Mahaney, Reverend Jerrol Wallace, and Brother Dwayne Sisk officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery of Segno, TX. There will be a gathering of family and friends also on Monday, April 30, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Moss Hill Pentecostal Church.
Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Francis, Christefer Pate, John Eccles II, Patrick Sisk, Russell Francis Jr. and Alessandro Gasbarro. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Francis, Richey Rhodes, Jason Rhodes, Joshua Sisk, and Freddy Martinez.
