John William Skinner, 68, of Hardin, died on Tuesday May, 6 2014 at his residence. John was born October 27, 1945 in Liberty, to Jack Skinner and Helen Dempsey Skinner. He had lived in Houston, for about thirty years before moving to Hardin. He was owner and operator of Skinner Dump Truck & Tractor Services of Houston, and was also a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen Skinner and brother, Jackie Skinner.
John is survived by his wife Virginia 'Ginger' Skinner of Hardin; son, John Boyd Skinner of Hardin; daughter, Connie Ann Savoy and fianc Jerry Glenn Neenan of Dayton; grandchildren, Madelyn Mae Savoy, Mallory Claire Savoy, Shelby Skinner, and Caden Dakota Skinner; brothers, Darryl Skinner of Hardin, James Edward ' BO' Skinner of Deer Park: sister; Barbara Ann Oregon of Deer Park and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of loving friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 at 11:00A.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Woody Sonnier officiating.
