John Hamilton Glover, 65, of Liberty, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family by his bedside. He was born December 20, 1953, in Liberty, TX to Joseph Speed Glover and Shirley Jean Taylor. He had lived in Batson most of his life before moving to Liberty and was a Boilermaker with Chevron in Baytown.
He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Speed Glover, brother, Joseph James Glover, step-dad James Lemon Fregia, grandparents Grady and Mandy Taylor, and nephew Chris Glover.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 21 years Betsy Drexler Glover of Liberty; mother Shirley Jean Taylor Fregia and husband Raymond of Batson; sons, Marc Anthony Glover - Garcia and husband Blaine of Baytown, Shawn Hamilton Floyd Glover of Saratoga. Daughter, Wendy Lynn Priour of Angleton; Sister, Peggy Ann Davis of Diboll, TX; and his loving furry daughter Sisi, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family members and friends. Grandchildren are Jessi Shane and husband Bobby of Sedalia Missouri, Graydon Glover of Sedalia Missouri, Mikaela Glover of Bridge City.
A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at New Life Church in Batson with Pastor Sammie Nugent officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at New Life Church in Batson from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Honoring Mr. Glover as pallbearers will be Nelson Taylor, Blaine Glover ' Garcia, Byron Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Douglas Hughes, Kyle Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are David Davenport, Raymond Fregia, Darren Taylor, Shirley Barron, Joel Zermeno, Beth Johnson.
