Jimmy Dewayne Love

Jimmy Dewayne Love, 65, of Thicket, and Votaw, died Wednesday July 16, 2014 at River Parrish Hospital in La Place, Louisiana. A service of remembrance will be held Saturday July 19, 2014 at 12 o' clock noon at The Votaw Worship Center with Reverend Phil Love, Kevin Vanya and Mitchell Vanya officiating. Interment will follow at The Hall Cemetery in Thicket. The family will receive friends Friday July 18, 2014 beginning at 5:00 P.M at the church.
Jimmy was born in Call, TX, on November 22, 1948 to his parents Joe Love and Nobel Daisy Dryden Love and had lived in the Votaw, and Thicket area for about sixty four and a half years. He was a member of the Votaw Assembly of God and was an Oilfield worker and pipeliner for Mustang Engineering of Houston. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Love and Nobel Daisy Dryden Love; brothers, Terry Love, Bobby Joe Love Sr, N.J. 'Pickle' Love, and Melvin Love; mother- in- law and father-in-law; Dovie and Price Burnett; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Burnett, Ray Bailey and Norman Stewart.
Those left to survived him are his wife of forty three years, Dovie Love of Thicket, and Votaw; son, Jimbo Love of Liberty; daughters, Shanna Laird and husband Sonny of Thicket, Jackie Williams and husband Corey of Thicket; brothers, Jerry Don Love and wife Joyce of Thicket, Phil Love and wife Rhonda of Big Sandy, Tony Ray Love and wife Melinda of Troy, TX. Nunnie Burnett and wife Jeannie of Holly Grove, Jack Burnett and wife Jessica of Honey Island, Rip Burnett and wife Sherry of Batson, Chint Burnett and wife Brenda of Kountze, Willie Burnett and wife Pat of Zavalla and Larry Burnett and wife Becky of Votaw; sisters, Yvette Love of Diboll, Carolyn Jo Love of Votaw , Carolyn Sue Burrows and husband Tommy of Huntington, TX, Bobbie Stewart of Votaw, Sissy Loftin and husband Bubba of Saratoga, Bessie Hudgins and husband Slim of Votaw, Nell Bailey of Votaw, and Melonie Vanya and husband Kevin of Votaw; grandchildren, Jacob Williams and fianc Lacey of Thicket, ' My Girl' Lanie Williams of Thicket, Amber Love of San Antonio, Taylor Snell of Moss Hill, Tristan Love of Dayton, Ethan Williams of Thicket, Alexis Love of Dayton, T.J. Laird of Thicket, Chet levi Williams of Thicket, and Austin Laird and wife Aly of Liberty; great - grandson, Easton laird and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.
