Jerry Dean Black, 75, of Baytown, TX passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, TX. Mr. Black was born August 15, 1945, in Cleveland, Tx. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Black is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jacob and Ovie Black; his parents, Al Black and Lilly Emerson; brothers, Delbert Handy, Freddy Black, and Jackie Black; and sister, Gloria Jean Dromgoole.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sadie Ruth Lewis of Baytown, TX; daughter, Karan Blackburn and husband Jimmy of Crosby, TX; sons, Keith Black and wife Annette of Pearland, TX and Jerry Black and wife Ashley of Georgetown, TX; sisters, Stella Hill and husband John and Pam Keith and husband Frank O'Shea; grandchildren, Vivian Whitten, and husband Denton, Jesse Blackburn and wife Marua, Josh Blackburn, Elizabeth Bingham and husband Joseph, and Kayla Black; great-grandchildren, Nolan Dean Bingham ( on the way/due in November); grand dogs. Rusty, Thor, Andy, Stormy, and Bentley, and a host of loving family and friends.

Honoring Mr. Black as pallbearers are Jesse Blackburn, Josh Blackburn, Melvin Douchette, Larry McCrory, Ernie Hanks, and Bobby Reid. Honorary pallbearers are Denton Whitten, Joe Bigham, Hilltop 8 Ball Club, and ORBC Deacons.

Mr. Black's visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Old River Baptist Church in Dayton, Texas. A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Old River Baptist Church in Dayton, Texas. Interment will be at a later date.
