Jane Smith McCreight, 70, of Daisetta, Texas passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home in Magnolia, Texas. She was born on October 12, 1953, in Beaumont, Texas to the late Louis Milvern Brown and Ellen Cora Whitley Brown.
Throughout her life, Jane made a lasting impact on those around her. Jane deeply loved her family and friends, and all held a special place in her heart. She embraced life fully and found joy in various interests. Jane loved to sew, read, the beach, playing dominos, shopping, watching her shows and her job. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Ellen Brown; first husband, Gary Smith; and sister Betty Berka.
Jane is survived by her beloved husband, Larry McCreight of Daisetta, Texas; son, Scott Smith and wife Mandy of Dickinson, Texas; daughters, Wendi Rodriguez and husband Rick of Magnolia, Texas and Meagan Smith of New Caney, Texas; bonus sons, Larry James McCreight and wife Lisa of Port Smith, Virginia, and Garry Wayne McCreight and wife Kim of Cove, Texas; brothers, Billy Brown of Daisetta, Texas, Zack Brown and wife Wendy of Atascocita, Texas, and Gary Brown of Raywood, Texas; sisters, Brenda Caldwell and husband Mike of Hardin, Texas, Ivy Berka of Raywood, Texas and Carolyn Roberts and husband Monroe of Hardin, Texas, grandchildren, Ean Rodriguez, Peyton Rodriguez, Madison Rodriguez, Logan Smith, Sophia Smith, and Emma Smith; bonus grandchildren, Katelyn Mode and husband Andrew of Port Smith, Virginia, Matthew McCreight of Port Smith, Virginia, and Brandon McCreight and wife Kayla of Port Smith, Virginia, Avery McCreight of Cove, Texas and Payton McCreight of Cove, Texas; and great-grandchild, Kaylee Mode of Port Smith, Virginia. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended friends and family.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, March 30, 2024, between 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas. Graveside Service will begin at 1:00 pm at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, Texas with Bishop Lee Coward officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Ean Rodriguez, Peyton Rodriguez, John Smith, Brandon Caldwell, Evan Brown, and Monroe Roberts IV.
