James David " Paddy" Flowers

of Saratoga, Texas died on Friday September 9, 2016 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was 72.

A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday September 15, 2016 at 1:00P.M. at Roadside Memorial Baptist Church of Saratoga, with Pastor Gene Denham officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

Serving as pallbearers are Chasity Lafour, Blufford Hubbard, William Roeling, Russell Thomas, Corey Brown, and Jerimy Flowers.

Honorary pallbearers are Casey Morgan, Rayn Johnson, Gurvis Sthram, Tommy Brown, Walter Lowe, and Richard Flowers.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday September 14, 2016 from 4:00P.M. until 7:00P.M. at the church.

A native of Bay City, TX, he had lived in Saratoga, most of his life. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Odell Roeling Construction of Hull, and a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clemon B. Flowers and Ruby Tanner Flowers. Brothers, Melvin Flowers and Clemon Lee Flowers.

Survivors include wife, Karen Flowers of Saratoga, daughters, Terri McMahan and husband Duane of Gladewater, Wendy Brown and husband Tommy of Daratoga, and Michele Mercer of Crosby. Brothers, Richard ' Dickie' Flowers of Hull, Richard Flowers and wife Bobbie. Sister in law, Betty Flowers and many nieces and nephews.

Grandchildren are Casey Morgan, Kathryn Spry and husband Rayn Johnson, Corey Brown, Russell Thomas and Ally Spry. Great grandchildren are Kaiden Caruthers, Railynn Brown, and Gabriella Garza.
