Irene Singletary 100, of Saratoga, died on Friday, July 14, 2017, at The Kountze Nursing Center.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services, with Reverend Frank Aragon, officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.

Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Singletary, Scott Wright, Sonny White, James Allen Taylor, Warner Triplett, Keith Jeanes, Harry Brown and Randy Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Bud Chadwick, Orvil Davis, Billy Martin, Sam Loftin, Charlie Daniel, and Pee Wee Daniel.

There will be a gathering of family and friends also on Sunday, July 16, 2017, starting at 1:00 P.M.until time of service at Faith & Family.

She was born August 29, 1916, in Livingston, Texas, to Monroe Bloomfield and Georgia Baker. Irene had lived in Saratoga, all her life and was a homemaker and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Saratoga.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Jay Singletary. Sons, Jay Dean Singletary and John Monroe Singletary, and brothers, Preston Bloomfield and R.J. Bloomfield.

She is survived by her son, Neal Singletary and wife Lisa of Onalaska, daughter- in- law, Shirley Singletary of Livingston, and nieces and a nephew. Grandchildren are Diane, Sandra, Rhonda, Kevin, Kristin, and Dan. Also numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of loving friends.

For those who would like to make a memorial contribution in memory of Irene Singletary may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund of Saratoga.
