Howard J. Stengler

of Daisetta, died on Friday December 4, 2015 at Houston San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. He was 84.

He was born in Hankamer, Texas, March 22, 1931 to George Asa Stengler and Ethel Fregia. He had lived in Daisetta since 1960 and was retired as a operator maintenance for The Texas Highway Department in Chambers County. He was also a member of the Central Baptist Church of Daisetta.

He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Son- in- laws, Kilroy Holder, Gerald Broom, and Herb McDaniels.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years Bonnie Jean Stengler of Daisetta. Sons, Tracy Stengler of Daisetta, and David Cooper and wife Sylvia of Wallisville.

Daughters, Gayle McDaniels and Michael Harrison of Daisetta, Cheryl Broom of Daisetta, and Carol Holder of Daisetta. One sister Margaret Ann Sanders and husband Delmar of Clearlake.

Grandchildren are Brandon Broom, Kameron Holder and wife Kami, Josh Cooper, Dillon Cooper, Kandyce Stengler and Garrett Stengler.

Great grandchildren, Chelsey, Breagan, Jaxson, Weston, and Jace. Special friends Sherry Dubose and family and Herman and Clara Simien

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday December 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Central Baptist Church of Daisetta with Reverend Grady Hart officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday December 7, 2015 from 5:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. at Central Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Broom, Kameron Holder, Josh Cooper, Dillon Cooper, Garrett Stengler and Michael Harrison.
