Homer Neal Arrant, 58, of Saratoga, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, at 2:00 P.M at First Baptist Church of Saratoga with Reverend Frank Aragon and Darrell Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, October 18, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 at First Baptist Church of Saratoga.
A native of Liberty, Homer had lived in Saratoga, most of his life and had worked in maintenance for Lumberton I.S.D. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff Arrant and Doris Russell; brothers, Frank Fry, Harold Fry, Johnny Hazelwood; sisters, Evelyn Fry, Mary Hazelwood Fisher, Lula Pearl Lynch; and father and mother-in-law, J.W. and Mary Francis Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Linda Arrant of Saratoga, sons, Jeffery Arrant and wife Lorin of Dayton, Ricky Brown and wife Misty of Livingston; brothers, Shooter Hazelwood and Skipper Fry both of Votaw; sisters, Ruby Buffington of Votaw and Ethel Arrant; grandchildren, Cody and Carson Brown, Lacey and Emily Brown, Jaxon Arrant, and baby Arrant who is on the way.
Honoring Homer as pallbearers are Cody Brown, Scooter Kirkland, Melvin Kirkland, Jacob Kirkland, B.J. Sullivan, Ernie Hazelwood, and Eric Noack.
