Herbert Noble Fregia, 86, of Marrero, Louisiana, formerly of Batson, passed away Thursday January 23, 2014. He was born in Batson, TX, August 13, 1927. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked as as compressor operater for Gulf Oil, later retiring from Chevron after 36 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed making and selling knives as a hobby. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Bea Fregia; parents, Ralph and Tena Fregia; siblings, Joseph 'J.R.', Maxine, Helen, Thelma and Jimmy.
He is survived by his daughters Jessica Ford of Marrero, LA and Michelle Fregia of Marrero, LA; grandchildren, Melissa Frye and husband James of Washington, IL, Robin Dickerson of Omaha, NE and Jody Dominick, Jr. and wife Ivory of Marrero, LA; great grandchildren, Grace, James, Noah, Lily, Lucas, Issabell, Gabriella and Jody III; siblings, Roger Fregia of Round Rock, TX and Barbara Ellis of Longview, TX.
His family will recieve friends Friday January 31, 2014 at Faith and Family Funeral Services from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday January 31, 2014 at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, officiated by Richard Davis.
