Harvey Douglas Potts of Moss Hill died, February 6, 2016. He was 14 years old.
Harvey was born in Cleveland, TX on February 9, 2001 to Jeannette Garness Potts.

Harvey was an eighth grader at Hardin Junior High. He was attending Mount Calvary Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, fishing, shooting, country music, lifting weights and hanging out with his friends around a campfire.

He is preceded in death by his mother Jeannette Garness Potts, brother Gerald Lynn Potts Jr, his grandparents Harvey Garness, Bobbie Garness Wages and William Wages Uncle Douglas Garness II. and Great-Grandmother Willie Mae Atkinson.

He is survived by his cousins Doug Garness and Lane Garness, stepfather Wayne Dodge, and foster parents Daron & Sherry Mettlen .

Harvey's is in God's Campground sitting around a campfire looking down and wanting us to all be strong. Harvey had a void in his life knowing that he had lost his whole family in less than 2 years.
He left us knowing that we all loved him and had a smile on his face when the Lord called him home. You brought me so much joy into my life. We both needed each other. Till we meet again.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 11:00A.M. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church - Marysee of Moss Hill, with Reverend Carlton Bailey and Reverend Tony Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Kennard Texas.

The family will be receiving friends also on Saturday February 13, 2016 from 10:00A.M. until time of service at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church- Marysee.

Serving as pallbearers are Brent Wolfe, Beaux Langston, Tyler Johnson, Logan Jones, Wayne Dodge, and Doug Garness, Andrew Payne, Ryan Redding, and Blake Smith and Daniel Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are the 8th grade class of Hardin Jr. High School, Lane Garness and Chris Jordan.
