George Allen LaFrance, a loving father, grandpa, and friend, passed away on December 9, 2024, in Baytown, Texas, at the age of 64 with his daughters by his side. He was born on December 20, 1959, in Liberty, Texas.
George worked over 25 years in the oil field industry. He also spent a lot of time on the water throughout his years with his love for fishing, the girls’ most memorable childhood memories come from the lake and camping trips with the family. During a significant chapter in his life, George cherished five years living with his daughter, Kalicia, in Colorado, where he got to enjoy just being grandpa. He also got to experience a different kind of fishing and although he loved it, and created memories they will cherish forever he couldn’t wait to get back to Texas to catch bigger fish in his words. George also had a love for playing card games and dominoes with his best friends BJ and Bruce, but to be honest he wouldn’t call them friends because they are family. Over this past year his best friend BJ can tell you he was his happiest and living his best life. He also enjoyed his many walks at the Liberty Park or just sitting by the pond. He was just a simple man and that’s how he liked it.
He leaves behind a loving family, which includes his daughters Brezy Rushing & husband Ryan from Florida, Kalicia LaFrance Bowman & husband Adam from Denver Colorado, Jennifer Hudnall & husband Travis from Hardin Texas; sons, Curtis Swearingen & wife Nicole from Anahuac Texas, and Chad Turner from Hardin Texas; brother Tommy LeFrance & wife Martha from Bastrop Texas. George's legacy will continue through his grandchildren: Sydney, Gaige, Colton, Grant, Kadin, Levi, Zoey, Addison, Kirsten, Brett, Lexi, Romeo, Adalynn, Aariana, Laken, Rhyler, Rhett, Kelsey, Cody, and Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eli William LaFrance, and Cora Mae Rockman, along with his brothers Buddy LaFrance, Rusty LaFrance, and Pete LaFrance; and his sisters Carolyn Jo Walls, Gladys Duff, Hazel Snider, and Samantha Stucky.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Donald Scott at Open House Ministries Church in Liberty, Texas.
