Gale Lamar Brammer, 82, of Saratoga passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 21, 1936, to the late Carl Dudley Brammer and Cora Nadine Hart in Saratoga.
A lifelong resident of Saratoga. Gale was retired from Temple-Inland paper mill after serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. Gale was a rough and tough kind of man with a dry sense of humor. He expressed his emotions through the great meals he would cook. At his leisure, he would go fishing and hunting. At home, one can find him growing vegetables in his garden. It brought him joy when he shared his harvest with all. Gale will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Gale is preceded in death by his parents; son, Harvey 'Joey' Brammer; brother, Dale Brammer, and granddaughter, Joanna Brammer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty Jo Brammer of Saratoga; son, Anthony Brammer of Saratoga; Daughters, Tammy Fillingame and husband Danny of Saratoga and Pennie Tilton and husband, Terry of Lumberton; grandchildren, Wesley Tilton, and fiance, Robyn Carrell of Lumberton, Cruz and Erica Fillingame of Kirbyville, Jasper Fillingame and fiance Hannah of Mauriceville; great-grandchildren, Waylon and Jaxson Fillingame and a host of dear relatives and friends.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at 11:00 am, officiated by Brother Frank Aragon at Guedry Cemetery 11713 Batson Praire Road, Batson.
