Frank Herman McCuistion, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, departed this world on April 11, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 81. Born on February 4, 1944, Frank lived a life filled with unwavering strength, generosity, and a profound love for his family.

Growing up on an egg farm with his parents, Herman Lee McCuistion and Ethel Cole, Frank developed an easy-going nature and a talent for making connections with everyone he met. Frank excelled in his studies, earning a master’s degree and embarking on a career as a chemical analyst in the oil industry. Yet, it was his role as an educator — teaching and sharing knowledge with anyone willing to learn — that he cherished most.

Frank's indomitable spirit was evident throughout his remarkable battle as a cancer survivor for over 40 years. His resilience inspired many, earning him the affectionate title of a miracle survivor within his circle. He faced each challenge with a steadfast determination, never allowing adversity to alter his joyful outlook on life.

As a family man, Frank’s heart shone brightest when surrounded by his loved ones. His loving wife Barbara McCuistion of 52 years, his daughter Jana Smith, his son Alan McCuistion and wife Stephanie and had a special bond with his grandchildren: William Smith, Austin Smith, Kaelyn McCuistion, and Mallory McCuistion. Many fond memories were created as he took them camping and spent time fishing or enjoying the serene beauty of the lake. The laughter and love shared during those moments are testaments to the legacy of joy he leaves behind.

Known for his intelligence, hard-headedness that was often endearing, and stubbornness in all the right ways, Frank was a steadfast rock for his family and friends. His nurturing spirit was not limited to his immediate family; his kindness extended to his niece Taresa Smith and husband Troy, and nephew Gary Hudson, along with his great niece, Nicole Smith. Frank had a way of making everyone feel special and valued, exemplifying love in action.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Lee McCuistion and Ethel Cole, his sister, Lynda Hudson, and brother-in-law Lloyd Hudson. Their memories and the moments shared continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Though Frank may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever resonate in the lives he touched with his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love. He was truly one of a kind, and his legacy will live on through his family, who carry forward his lessons of strength, compassion, and unyielding zest for life.

Cremation is under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas.
